Meet Our Doctors

Joseph Faber DDS

Dr. Joe grew up in a family of dentists, starting with his father and uncle, followed by his older brother and himself. Some might say he was born to be a dentist; Dr. Joe would tell you it was a genuine interest in what his Dad did for work growing up. Dr. Joe would wait for his dad to come home, and before his dad could even take his shoes off, Dr. Joe would be questioning his dad about his day at work.

Dr. Joe genuinely enjoys what he does. What makes him so unique is he has the same passion for both the dental work itself, and for connecting with his patients. Over the 8 years since graduating, he has continued his postgraduate education and completed a two-year implant fellowship in New York University. He also spent time in the Dominican Republic placing implants on underserved patients.

He is currently a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists after being recommended by the board and fulfilling all the requirements.

However, the friendships he has made with his patients and their families mean just as much to him if not more than the dental work. His goal is to always treat patients as if they are an extension of his own family.

Besides dentistry, Dr. Joe has always had a passion for family and basketball. In high school, he played point guard, leading his team to the conference championship and winning. These days you’re more likely to find him at a park with his wife and three children in his down time. Dr. Joseph Faber graduated Magna Cum Laude from both Yeshiva University and the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He completed his implant fellowship at NYU’s College of Dentistry. He is currently a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Zachary Katz DDS

Growing up Dr. Katz always had a passion for fixing things that were broken, or simply just building something from scratch. To this day he still remembers the first time his parents bought him a remote-control racecar set. He’d spend hours, building variations of cars and tracks, taking them apart, only to put them back together again. This led to model cars, which led to a summer job fixing and restoring outdoor decks. Little did Dr. Katz know this passion for restoring a racecar set and working with his hands would lead him to his career as a restorative dentist.

As a young adult, he shadowed a family friend for the summer.
Over the summer there were hundreds of cases that Dr. Katz saw, but the ones that stood out were the deflated patients who had been through a trauma. He recalls how they sat in the chair as the Doctor came to speak with them, and how confidently the doctor was able to reassure them that he would restore their smile.

The tears of joy the patients cried the day their work was completed have stuck with Dr. Katz. It was then that Dr. Katz realized that dentistry was the profession for him. It would allow him to combine all of his passions; working with people, working with his hands, and restoration. Dr. Katz always says being able to work in a profession which allows him to make someone complete again is very special to him, and he hopes to be able to provide that service to as many patients as he can over his career.

In his down time, Dr. Katz enjoys watching the Yankees,
enjoying a good book, or chasing his three boys around with his wife.

Dr. Zachary Katz graduated from Queens College and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he was awarded membership to the Gorgas Odontological Honors Society. Dr. Katz proceeded to complete a GPR at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and two years of coursework in implant dentistry at the NYU College of Dentistry.

Joseph Bajtner DDS

Dr. Bajtner’s passion for dentistry began when he was a freshman in high school. While playing hockey, he was hit in the mouth with a high stick. A handful of sleepless nights from the pain, three root canals, retainers, braces for a second and third time, and four porcelain veneers later he finally had his smile back. It was at that point that he realized the self-confidence that comes along with a smile.

Through the process of getting his teeth fixed, he fell in love with the profession and made himself a promise that he would try and repair not only people’s smiles but their self-confidence as well. Due to his personal experience, Dr. Bajtner learned to be more empathetic and understanding of dental pain and the anxiety that comes with going to the dentist.

Dr. Bajtner will always do his best to listen to his patient’s fears and concerns, and will work with them to achieve their dental goals. When Dr. Bajtner isn’t working he has always had a love of sports and fitness. He started playing hockey when he was three years old. In high school, he played soccer, basketball, and wrestled. In college, he was an all-conference all-academic setter for his volleyball team. These days you’re more likely to find him attending a concert, on a golf course, or playing softball. Dr. Bajtner graduated from Yeshiva University and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He competed his GPR at the University of Chicago and completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s MaxiCourse program on implant dentistry at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
